About Me...

Born and raised in Jersey, Kevin Pamplin is a dedicated Father, Son, Brother & Grandson.

Schooled at Janvrin Primary school and D'Hautree, Kevin followed his passion of his early years of theatre the arts and the media at home and around the world.

This led him to his education at the Mountview Academy of Performing Arts, where he graduated with his 2.1 degree validated by the University of East Anglia in 2000. In the following years Kevin returned home to take a job with ITV Channel.

After returning to London for another time work in the city, Kevin returned to Jersey in 2010 this time with his greatest achievement to date, fathering his two children surrounded by their family.

After a return to media with the BBC, Kevin took a step in a new direction, answering the call to work for the Jersey Brain Tumour Charity as its 1st Business Manager. It was here that Kevin first met and saw the issues everyday folk are faced with, when given a life changing diagnosis of a brain tumour.

Kevin continued to support other local causes including the Variety Club of Jersey and Liberate and Mental Health Charities. After overseeing a successful brain tumour conference, taking on the issues faced in that sector, Kevin had to take some time out for a non-life-threatening illness.

On his recovery, Kevin took on his next challenge within the charity sector,  working with Headway Jersey in its 20th year.

Overseeing a very special year for the charity, he worked with the team to try to overcome the issues being faced, while also raising the profile of Headway's work. During this time, Kevin was on the Jersey Charity Awards Committee, which oversaw the 2017 awards at Government House.

A proud family man, Kevin takes most pride in the raising of his two children. His son who is now at College and his youngest daughter who attends school on the island.

Family is the cornerstone of his life and until she sadly passed away in January 2017, Kevin lived with and cared for his grandmother, Barbara Pamplin (Nee Queree). And supports his own father and his wife with their needs as a carer.

Kevin likes to take part in many challenges, and embraces the local way of life such as the annual Island Walk. Supporting all local sport like the Jersey Bulls and the Jersey Reds. And has never lost his connection with local charities and has become a proud voice and champion for change for the Islands Mental Health services.

Always approachable and ready to work hard, and now with a proven track record these past 4 years as your local Deputy Kevin is ready to continue the same values and lessons he has learned from his life to make a positive impact for you as your Elected Deputy of St Saviour
